Many retired responders carry their own weight — stress, loss, transition, and struggles that don't always have a name. Purpose, peer connection, and continued service are among the strongest protective factors for mental health. At NVPSN, the retiree community isn't just welcome — it's essential.
Incident Response Team
Staffed entirely by retired fire and EMS personnel, our Incident Response Team provides rehab and canteen services at large-scale incidents. About 2–3 callouts per month in summer, fewer in winter. Driver training available.Peer Support Volunteering

Peer Support
Work directly with individuals seeking support. Peer support volunteers receive training and ongoing supervision from our team.
Board Leadership
Help guide the strategic direction of NVPSN. We welcome professionals with backgrounds in law, finance, healthcare, communications, and public service.
Administrative Support
Behind every effective organization is a team keeping things running. Help with communications, coordination, data, and operations.
Training Assistance
Support our training programs as a facilitator, organizer, or subject matter expert. Great fit for educators, clinicians, and experienced responders.
