Nevadans across the state honor our veterans’ remarkable legacy of service and work together to ensure veterans and their families understand and connect to opportunities that enrich their lives.

Advocate for and provide superior service to Nevada veterans and their families—and to provide our communities and partners the opportunity to contribute to these endeavors. Through our four major programs we assist veterans prepare and submit claims for benefits, provide skilled nursing care, provide dignified burial support, and successfully reintegrate into Nevada communities.

The Hero's JourneyGo To Site

Every year, 200,000 veterans transition from military service into civilian life. It's a challenging time that often results in loss of identity and changes so significant it seems like the veteran is changing planets. For our warriors to live the life of prosperity they deserve they must rediscover their voice and tell their story. That is our Mission at The Heroes Journey.

Scott Mann is a master at building relationships in high-stakes, competitive environments. As a Green Beret in the United States Army, he forged bonds and solved problems using values that moved people around the world to stand up for themselves. His secret? He was able to restore trust and create human connections in places where that didn’t seem possible. He is now bringing those same principles to corporate boardrooms and conference rooms—where trusted leadership is more valuable—and more vulnerable—than ever.

Project OdysseyGo To Site

Project Odyssey® is a 12-week mental health program that uses adventure-based learning to help warriors manage and overcome their invisible wounds, enhance their resiliency skills, and empower them to live productive and fulfilling lives. Based on their unique needs, warriors can participate in an all-male, all-female, or couples Project Odyssey.

The program starts with a five-day mental health workshop, where warriors are challenged to step outside the comfort of their everyday routines. This opens them up to new experiences that help them develop their coping and communication skills. After the workshop, participants work together with WWP to stay engaged, achieve their personal goals, and make lifelong positive changes.
